New home interior design in Bangalore, from the day you get the keys to the day you move in.
This is for you if you've just bought a new flat, house or villa in Bengaluru, with the keys in hand or possession a few months away. We design the whole home before anything is bought, you walk it at full size, and then it's built exactly to what you signed off.
New home interior design, from possession to move-in
Most people with a new flat ask who to call first. The order of the work matters as much, because every decision is cheaper to change early than late. Here is the order, from before the keys to the day you move in.
Before the keys
Get the floor plan, decide what you want from each room, and book the design so it's ready when possession comes.
At possession
Every room measured and the builder's work checked. Pillars, beams, windows, plumbing and electrical points go on the plan.
The design
Your whole home built as a full-scale model, every surface a real product. You walk through it, ask for changes and sign it off.
Drawings and product list
The contractor's set, drawn from the model you signed off, with every item listed by brand and product code.
The build
Your contractor quotes on the drawings and builds. You buy each item on the list from the vendor, at the vendor's price.
Handover
Walk the finished home with the drawings in hand and check each room against the model before you settle the contractor's last bill.
Booking to drawings typically takes three to five weeks, or as little as a week if you already know exactly what you want. With possession three months away, there's time to finish the design before your contractor starts. The build after that takes anywhere from 20 days to six months. Woodwork alone sits at the short end; civil work, plumbing, tiling and electrical work alongside it push it towards the long end.
The biggest factor in both time and money is how clear everything is once the drawings are done. With 2D drawings and a few 3D views, many questions only come up on site, after work has started, and each one costs money and days to settle. When you have already walked the whole home at full size, with every product chosen, your contractor builds what you have seen, and far less is left to discover. For each stage of the design itself, see how it works.

The months before possession are the cheapest time to plan. Four things are worth doing while you wait.
Interior work after possession: the first week with the keys
Builders' plans are drawn before the walls go up, and the walls rarely match them to the inch. In the first week, walk every room with a tape and a phone. Photograph each wall, including every switch, socket and pipe, before anything is covered up. Make a list of anything the builder should fix: damp patches, cracks, hollow-sounding tiles, windows that don't shut properly.
Then the measurements that decide the design. We take these ourselves, on one site visit that is part of the fee, so the model and the drawings match the walls you actually have. A pillar six inches into a bedroom is enough to stop a wardrobe sitting flush. In the pillar in the corner, a Whitefield 2BHK's wardrobe came with a flat back for a wall with a pillar in it, because the factory made the sizes it was given.

Look for a new apartment interior package in Bengaluru and most of what you find is design and build sold together at one price. Chains usually work this way, with the design folded into the price of the build. That design is paid for through a markup on the materials and work, typically 10 to 20%. What interior designers charge per sq ft sets the different ways of paying side by side.
With us, the package is the design of the whole home, at a fee you can see. The build isn't in it today. Any contractor in Bengaluru can build from our drawings, and you buy every item on the list yourself, at the vendor's price, with no margin or commission to us. In-house execution is launching soon. The full list of what the fee covers is on our interior design services page.
studio home · the whole layout, designed and walked before the buildNew flat interior design, or a new house or villa: what changes
In a new flat, the builder has already fixed most of the walls and points, so the design is mostly about fitting your home inside them well. A new villa or independent house has more to decide: more rooms, a staircase, sometimes a double-height living room, and outdoor spaces such as a terrace or a garden sit-out.
The order of work stays the same, and so does the fee basis: ₹100 per sq ft of carpet area. With more rooms and more people deciding, it helps to bring the whole family to the model early, so everyone agrees on the same home. Bought a resale flat, or moving back in after tenants? What new home interiors cost in Bangalore
A new home has two costs: the design and the build. Our design fee is ₹100 per sq ft of carpet area for the whole home. A 1,200 sq ft 3BHK is ₹1.2 lakh, and a 750 sq ft flat is ₹75,000. You pay 50% to book and 50% after you sign off the model, plus GST. See pricing in detail.
The build is your contractor's quote on the drawings. In Bengaluru it runs from about ₹800 to 2,500+ per sq ft of carpet area, before GST and without appliances. A lean build is ₹800 to 1,100, a typical one ₹1,200 to 1,600, and premium ₹1,600 to 2,500+. If you're working to a tight figure, budget interior design in Bangalore works through it by flat size.

Common questions about new home interior design
How do I interior design my new home?
Start with the floor plan and the carpet area, and decide what you want from each room. Book the design before possession so it's ready when you get the keys. Have every room measured, walk the design at full size and sign it off. Your contractor then builds from the drawings, and you buy each item from the product list.
When should I start the interior design for a new flat?
About two to three months before possession, if you can. Booking to drawings typically takes three to five weeks, so the design is finished by the time you get the keys and your contractor can start soon after.
Can the design be done before possession?
Yes. The builder's floor plan is enough to start. Once you have the keys, we come and measure every room, so the model and the drawings match the walls you actually have before anything is built.
How long does the interior work take in a new flat?
Design takes three to five weeks from booking to drawings. The build then takes anywhere from 20 days to six months: woodwork alone is quick, while civil work, plumbing and tiling add time. What saves the most time and money is settling every decision before work starts, so little is discovered on site.
How much does interior design for a new house cost in Bangalore?
Design is ₹100 per sq ft of carpet area for the whole home, so a 1,200 sq ft home is ₹1.2 lakh. The build is your contractor's quote on the drawings, from about ₹800 to 2,500+ per sq ft of carpet area, before GST.
Do you build the interiors as well?
Not yet. Any contractor in Bengaluru can build from our drawings, and you buy every item on the product list at the vendor's price, with no margin or commission to us. In-house execution is launching soon.
